How to Prepare for God’s Ministry

Preparing for God’s ministry is tough and can be intense. There are some points you will need to be aware of if called.

  • We are entering Satan’s zone. He will not make it easy.
  • We have to sharpen our spiritual senses through prayer and fasting. The flesh makes it difficult for Christians to carry out such spiritual tasks.
  • Beware of distractions. Satan preys on our desires to lure us from the will of God.
  • When we encounter distractions, we need to fix our eyes on the ultimate goal and keep on reminding ourselves constantly why we are going into ministry.
  • We need to involve God in every step we take and to wait for directions which can be difficult when we are in a hurry.
  • We should always test the spirit, no matter how right the decision we are about to take feels.
  • Select the people you surround yourself with prayerfully or else you may end up dealing with people that will drain and exhaust you.
  • God’s ministry attracts different sorts of people. Be watchful.
  • God has called us to serve in a particular ministry. We should make sure we carry out what God instructs us to do.
  • When you choose a church to worship in, make sure you do not get sucked-in. Do not neglect your ministry!
  • Be prepared and sure of what God has called you to do. Your surety will be useful in the future when people try to impose their ideas on you. Stick to what God is saying, every ministry is unique and should not compare to others.
  • We should not be upset when a person does not understand what God is calling us to do. They cannot see what we see. Maybe they are not supposed to.
  • We should enjoy and revel in what God has called us to do.
  • If we are in God’s WILL, we can ask for anything. We should not limit him.
  • Do not worry about resources. God called us and has provided already.

Remain Blessed.

Again, thank you very much for your Labour in the word of God.. Many thanks for reminding us of the distraction that Comes with ministry. And the greatest of all is the distraction of allowing our ministry for Jesus to distract us from our more important ministry to Him. More grace, and continue to be a blessing that you are.
